If you have been following my blog, you probably have heard of the name VSPA, or Valverde School of Performing Arts more than once. We absolutely love being part of this great organization. Without sounding like an informercial, I encourage you to check out what they can offer you. Our own daughters have been attending their clases for years and we absolutely love it there!
Frank & Yesenia, the owners of the school, put on a great gala this past week. The gala is a fundraiser for their non-profit organization that will provide tuition for those students who otherwise might not be able to afford the classes. The even took place at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. If you are a creative person like me, you would know the importance of finding a creative outlet starting at a young age. Who knows, we just might have the next American Idol among us! And due to budget cuts, a lot of music programs offered by public schools have been cut. Schools like VSPA have become even more important to cultivate a well rounded childhood.
For their “Focus on Arts Gala”, the students put on some great performances for all to enjoy. There was Improv skit, an AWESOME rock band, children’s choir, preview of a the musical production, Seussical: The Musical, and some of the talented instructors from VSPA also performed for the audience. A lot of awesome people also provided either products or services for the silent auction. I personally donated a photo session and I can’t wait to meet the winning family! I can’t imagine the amount of planning that went into the preparation of this event, and it was an absolute success. I am so glad to have been part of it!
