Happy Sunday!! While most of my photographer friends are at the annual Wedding & Portrait Professional International, or better known simply as WPPI convention in Las Vegas for the next week, yours truly is sitting at home serving up another late edition of blog post on a Sunday night. I had the pleasure of attending a great shootout put together by Gavin Wade Photographers this weekend, and you can see from the images, it was EPIC. I very rarely use that word to describe my own pictures, but this shoot was.simply.EPIC. Overall it was a fairly difficult shoot to pull off. Since we (30 photographers) shot on a dry lake bed in Las Vegas, the lighting situation changed probably every few minutes. We had a whole spectrum of full light, back lit, overcast, to dust storm. You name it, we had it. Since I shoot 100% in manual mode, my fingers got quite a bit of a work out! Also, the warm color reflecting from the sand, also gave the images a very cool look. I decided to play up my SOOC images and just really go with what the environment ‘felt’ like to me. I hope you like this set of images! Make sure you vote on your favorites, too!
