JAMES & WEIWEI ARE ENGAGED | SAN FRANCISCO, CA

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SAN FRANCISCO!!! Okay, now we got that out of the way. When I visited San Francisco for James & Weiwei’s engagement session, Southern California was experiencing one of the most intense heat waves we’ve had in a while. It was literally 105 when I got on the airplane from Ontario Airport. But San Francisco was a cool 65, and I didn’t want to come back!

This session may look like a wedding, but I assure you this is just an engagement session at San Francisco City Hall! Both Weiwei & James are from Taiwan, and it is customary to get engagement sessions done in full bridal gown and tuxedo.

There are a ton of civil ceremonies weddings at San Francisco City Hall. Partly due to its gorgeous architecture and also their generous filming policy (no permit!). During our shoot, we must had encountered at least 5 other couples getting married. After we finished at the San Francisco City Hall, we went to San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts for some additional photos. Another beautiful landmark of San Francisco. After we were finished, we drove down to golden gate bridge to get some images. But unfortunately weather didn’t cooperate. Due to fog, we were not able to get a clear shot of the bridge. 🙁 We then finally ended up the session at night at Union Square in downtown San Francisco.

Even though it was a LONG day, Weiwei & James’ hospitality made it a very pleasant trip. I can’t wait to document their wedding in Honolulu in a few months!!
