Kathy and I met a few months ago at the Tea Station in San Gabriel. Truong & Kathy currently live in San Jose but grew up in Southern California so they travel back and forth quite a bit. Truong couldn’t make the initial consultation because he was busy watching a Lakers’ playoff game (my kind of groom!). Like what I do for all the engagement sessions, I want it to be as personal to the couple as possible. I asked Kathy what kind of ‘feel’ they are trying to achieve, and she gave me three requirements;

1) We like elegance and romance but not the cheesy and cutesy stuff
2) We love metropolitan ie. city life and city light
3) We like sunset

Sounds easy enough? They pretty much wanted a little bit of everything! So after some careful planning we decided on shooting the engagement session at the popular “The Lab Anti-Mall” in Newport Beach, then Segerstrom Center for the Arts, also known as the Orange County Performance Arts Theater, then finally ended up on an open field in Irvine. I hope you enjoy this engagement session as much as I had shooting this lovely couple! Remember to vote for your favorite, the one with most votes get to go on my portfolio site!
