Joanna & Joey contacted me while they were still in the planning phase of their wedding in Australia; they already knew they were going to be in Lake Como for their honeymoon and wanted a portrait session to document their trip. Lucky for me I was already in Florence shooting a wedding, and I was more than happy to shoot their portrait session! Lake Como is one of those bucket list places that I’ve always wanted to visit, and having an excuse to go and shoot a beautiful couple at some historical villas is just icing on the cake. For their session we started at the luxury resort Villa D’Este, where we boarded a private water taxi and headed off to Villa Sola Cabiati. During the water taxi ride, we saw villas that belonged to George Clooney and donatella versace just to name a few! Both Villa Sola Cabiati and Villa D’Este are hugely popular wedding venues at Lake Como as well, can’t wait to shoot a wedding there some day!!
