ZARA & JONATHAN ARE ENGAGED | LOS ANGELES, CA

I LOVE this session on so many different levels. Put aside that I got to shoot in one of the most well known houses in Southern California (the inner architectural nerd just jumped for joy), my couple came SUPER prepared. They had coordinated outfits, accessories, props, etc.. It was great. I always tell my couples that they will get as much out of a session as how much they put into the preparation of it. And Zara & Jonathan came P-R-E-P-A-R-E-D!!  If you don’t recognize this house, the house was designed by a well known Austrian-American architect named Richard Neutra. The VDL Research house, as it’s called, was built in 1965 in the Silverlake neighborhood. It has since been acquired by Cal Poly Pomona (my alma mater!) architectural department. They hold functions, mixers, public tours, and other fun events at this house. Zara & Jonathan had actually taken a tour in the house and fell in love with it. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year at the AT&T building in downtown Los Angeles!
