This event literally was 60 years in the making. My LOVELY couple John and Aileen were married in 1950. Yes, 60 years ago! They met on a double blind date back in 1949, and the rest as they say, is history. All these years later, they still hold hands everywhere they went, how cute is that?? During our portrait session, I asked John to give Aileen a kiss. I thought he was just going to kiss her on the cheek, but he planted a big one right on the lips! The celebration started at the church where they have attended for many years. The pastor brought the whole family up on the stage and they received a standing ovation from the other church goers. After the ceremony, we moved onto a reception hall where family and friends were treated to a slide show and great food! They even had a singer perform the song that was sung at their original wedding! Needless to say it was a very emotional celebration and I am very glad I was able to be a apart of it!
