Like I always teach my daughters, families come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and we are all different. What bonds us all is the love we have for one another. Drew & Shelly’s wedding is a true testament of that. They each have two children from previous marriages and it was just wonderful to see the love that they all shared. The children were each’s bestmen and maids of honor. They even included the children in their sand ceremony where six different colors were poured into a vase to symbolize six people becoming one family unit. This beautiful, intimate wedding took place at a private estate in the suburbs of San Diego, and the view was simply breathtaking. Panoramic view of the valley behind an infinite pool? Yes please! I love weddings of all sizes, but for smaller weddings, I really feel like I am part of the whole day. For example, during the father and daughter dance, I literally had to go outside and get my composure back because I was tearing up so bad. Watching Shelly dance with her father really moved me.
