KATHY & TRUONG ARE MARRIED | ALHAMBRA, CA

One of the things I LOVE about weddings is that no matter what cultural background you are from, EVERYBODY loves a good wedding. It’s a great reason for families and friends to get together and celebrate the beginning of a life long journey. This is exactly how I felt about Kathy & Truong’s wedding. Friends from San Jose, San Diego, and all the way to St. Louis all came to celebrate the big day for this adorable couple. Ever since I shot their engagement session in Newport Beach, I knew their wedding was going to be just a non-stop PARRRRTTTTTYYYYYYYYYY. And I can tell you for a fact they didn’t disappoint! But I can’t show you all the pictures!! 🙂

The day started at Kathy’s parents’ house. Truong and his groomsmen brought traditional Vietnamese gifts for Kathy’s family. After the gifts exchange, Kathy & Truong paid respect to their elders by performing a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. Everybody has encouraging things and words of wisdom to tell the newlywed couple. After the tea ceremony ended, we all went to Almansor Court in San Gabriel for the traditional American wedding. They elected to do a first look which gave us a lot of time to shoot their portraits. We even shot at a nearby gymnasium for some cool group shots! Once the reception started it was just a huge party from start to finish, DJ Dzien with DJZ Productions kept the party going all night! Thanks again to the newlyweds for having my team and I! We had a great time.

I also want to thank my awesome team, Jen with Fondly Forever was my 2nd shooter and Janet with Love Janet for assisting!
