Ed & Picca are married! One of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting. This was my second time shooting a wedding at Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano, and I love the place! It’s in the heart of San Juan Capistrano and the historic mission. The historic Los Rios district is literally right across the train track. There are just so many places to shoot for bridal portraits. It just so happen that Ed & Picca are a gorgeous couple as well. Tough day at the job, right? What’s even more unbelievable is that Picca conceptualized and DIY’ed most of the details for the wedding! A seriously talented bride! Their beautiful DIY vintage wedding has a “story” theme running through the entire design. The seating cards were custom made to look like old library cards that we used to check out books. The backdrop for the sweetheart table and altar was a vintage fireplace. An old china hutch acted as the perfect display case for the dessert bar. For their first look and most of the wedding portraits, we took them at San Juan Capistrano Mission and the surrounding Los Rios Historic District. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Enjoy the photos!
