In addition to teaching my own wedding photography workshops, I also take workshops once a year. It is so important for us to continue growing as an artist and a business person. There is always something new to be learned! It is with that spirit in mind I signed up for Kurt Boomer’s workshop earlier last month. Kurt is an extremely talented photographer out of Southern California who shoots 100% film. Even though I am a hybrid shooter, this workshop was definitely well worth the investment. It is awesome to learn from other talented photographers who have the same passion as I do. Kurt was an open book and shared everything he knows, and it was fun to hang out with other attendees! Not to mention the gorgeous stylized shoot that was designed & executed by the super talented Joy Proctor. Thanks again to Kurt Boomer for such an amazing day of learning, sharing, and of course shooting! You are awesome!
For this set of images, there is actually a mixture of digital & Contax 645 film photos, scanned by The FIND Lab out of Utah (who happens to be one of the awesome sponsors for The Hybrid Workshop). The film emulation preset I used is, in my opinion, the absolute BEST film emulation preset ever created. The magical unicorn created by my friend Kirk Mastin, the Mastin Preset. You can read my reviews here.
Can you tell which one is digital and which one is film??
